SELECT WINES OF THE CELLAR
His restaurant experience includes over two decades in fine dining and over 16 years specifically in the steakhouse business. High end dining with a roof top bar and multiple dining rooms in a historic building in Downtown Jacksonville. With its high ceilings, arched windows, and stylish dining rooms, the Cowford Chophouse is a striking departure from the ordinary steakhouse. Usually open daily from lunch on weekdays and evening on weekends, the rooftop bar also offers happy hour Mon-Fri from 4-7pm. The Cowford Chophouse rooftop dress code is casual, but if you plan to also have lunch or dinner inside, aim for more business casual clothing.

COCKTAILS
Chef Cris grew up cooking with his grandmother in Mexico and developed a love for Southern cuisine after his family moved to Georgia. This is what inspired Chef Cris's love of cooking, and his favorite style is Southern with a Mexican twist. He started his culinary career in 2013 and has worked at Capital Grille, J. Alexanders and Cowford Chophouse. Now at CH13, he wants to showcase his talent, passion for food and grow with the company. The building opened first as the rebuilt First National Bank of Florida. In 1901, a raging fire swept through Downtown Jacksonville and reduced blocks of buildings to ash.
Steak, Seafood & Rooftop Views
Focusing on high-end steak & seafood is the perfect setting for Court. Today, guests can gaze across that same river to enjoy Southbank skyline views from Downtown Jacksonville’s only steakhouse and rooftop lounge. River & Post comes with a dual setting, offering both a ground floor upscale casual restaurant and a lovely 9th floor rooftop lounge.

DESSERT COCKTAILS
The Oak Bar is a full-service bar with signature cocktails, local craft beer, and a large wine list. The Oak Bar is first come, first serve and doesn't accept reservations. While the restaurant and rooftop bar itself is quite new, the building it occupies comes with a lot more history. Set in the 1902 vintage historic Bostwick Building, even the name 'Cowford Chophouse' is a homage to the the original name of Jacksonville. We welcome you to celebrate any special occasion at the Cowford Chophouse.

Set over several floors, there are both stylish and cosy indoor dining rooms and a lovely open-air rooftop bar. Up on the terrace you get fantastic views over the city skyline and out over St. Johns River. Come to The Oak Bar for after-work drinks, watching the big game, or relax with friends.
Cowford Chophouse Rooftop Bar Jacksonville
Stylish and swanky in decoration, the rooftop offers fantastic views over St. Johns River and downtown Jacksonville... Being one of downtown Jacksonville's hottest new restaurants, you should of course visit for the food. Executive Chef Ian Lynch combines excellent steakhouse dining with seafood, topped off with a raw bar menu. Nick Farrell has been a Florida resident for most of his life and moved to Jacksonville in 2002.

And the rooftop terrace is a great spot to enjoy some of the city's fine weather. Restored elements include the historic arched windows, exterior bricks, metal cornice, and 300-year-old heart of pine lumber that is seen throughout the building today. The Cowford Chophouse leadership team brings decades of hospitality experience to Downtown Jacksonville.
The staff prides itself on providing the best steaks and service, always striving to uphold the restaurant’s position as an award-winning Jacksonville favorite. ChopHouse Thirteen has been a tradition of excellence in Jacksonville under the name The Tree Steakhouse since 1969. We appreciate all the customers who have been a part of our evolution for the past 50 years. ChopHouse Thirteen changed its name and received a new modern look in May of 2019 to take our dining experience to the next level. Overall, Cowford Chophouse is close to a 'must-visit' in Jacksonville, both for the food and for the drinks.
